Red Oak Consulting brought together asset management leaders from around the globe, sponsoring the third annual Leading-Edge Conference on Strategic Asset Management (LESAM), held at the Hilton Miami Downtown in Miami, FL from November 11-13. Attendees included utility managers, regulators, consultants and researchers.

Discussion topics included techniques, technologies and management approaches designed to optimize investment in infrastructure, while maintaining high customer service standards. Presentations included:

• Approaches to asset management
• Standardizing asset managment concepts
• Sustainability
• Knowledge transfer
• Asset management models and tools

Dave Sklar, Red Oak's Asset Management Practice Leader said the importance of the conference can not be underscored. "The LESAM conference is critical in bringing together an international community of utility practitioners, research organizations, and consultants to highlight leading edge developments and trends."

Red Oak consultants and clients delivered three presentations  showcasing ongoing work with Lee County Utilities, Toho Water Authority, and Columbus Department of Public Utilities.
